With Thanksgiving fast approaching and Christmas just around the corner it’s a good time to think about food! I think we consume more food during the holiday season than any other time of the year. I try to feed my family healthy choices for the most part but we have to have a little YUM-MO in our lives once in a while. That’s one reason It Works makes Fat Fighter, so we can eat our yummies and not have the weight left over to prove it. 😉
For me the holiday baking season is even more challenging because there are three of us that eat 95% gluten free due to sensitivities. But I have been determined from the beginning to find alternative ways to make treats for my family that taste good. Thanks to Betty Crocker I have a gluten free cake recipe to share with you today.
1 Betty Crocker GF yellow cake mix (follow box directions)
1 box Raspberry Jello
Make the cake following directions and then cool about 15 minutes. Poke holes in the cake evenly spaced. A fork works just fine for this. Dissolve the jello in 1 cup boiling water and then stir in 1/2 cup cold water then evenly pour mixture over cake. Then chill for 3-4 hours. Top with Cool Whip Frosting vanilla or cream cheese flavor. ENJOY!
This box cake mix is good all by itself but the jello adds more flavor and makes the cake even more moist.
P.S. Don’t forget to get your Fat Fighter before all the festivities begin! You’ll thank yourself for it later 😉
