Where is your FOCUS?
Let’s just admit it, sometimes life, business, family it can be hard and may feel a little overwhelming. Life isn’t perfect for anyone. Nobodies kids are angels all the time (if they say they are they’re lying), there isn’t one person out there that hasn’t been frustrated or had problems with a spouse or a boy/girl friend (even great marriages, have trying times) and no one has EVER started a business that didn’t come with it’s own set of challenges. The key is FOCUS!
You have two choices in life. You can focus on your problems or you can focus on solutions. You can focus on all the negativity or you can focus on the positives. You can focus on yourself and all that you think you cannot do or you can focus on the Lord and all that He CAN do. You can stand there and look at your situation with your head in your hands or you can decide what the first step in the right direction is and get moving. You get the picture…YOU get to CHOOSE where you put your focus!
It’s really pretty simple. It’s just not always easy to transition.
Here are 4 things that you can do to help you transition your focus from the wrong things to the right things.
1. Don’t react out of emotion. Emotions can lie to you before you have all the facts. Take time to really evaluate what’s happening.
2. Find the bright side. There’s ALWAYS a bright side. Even if the bright side is a lesson you will learn, or a way the Lord will use your situation to help you. Think about how you’re thinking and what your focus is on.
3. On a daily basis you have to fill yourself with the positives! Fill up on God’s truth about you, your business and your family. This way when trials come you have His word embedded in your heart and you can stand on it. This is where you put your FOCUS!
4. Fill your life with positive people who believe in you. There’s no time in life for people that just want to bring you down or fill your head with fearful, negative thoughts.
Knowing that God loves you, wants the very best for you and has good plans for you, your family and your business is, in my opinion, essential to being able to keep your focus right. There is always hope in any situation and where your focus is WILL determine in a BIG way what your OUTCOME is!
” Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]”—Ephesians 3:20
