Have you ever felt frustrated, ready to throw in the towel, depressed, sick of trying or tired of feeling like a failure? If so, that puts in the category with 100% of all the other humans in the world.
Many times we get the impression from society that those who have achieved success in their lives, in any category, health, weight loss, business, family, marriage etc… have done so with bright smiley faces and no challenges.
This is VERY far from the truth! Everyone has challenges. The difference is that some people allow those challenges to STOP them and others use them to PUSH them forward. Some people think on the negatives and what they are NOT accomplishing and others look for how far they HAVE come. Some people just put themselves down or listen to the nay sayers and others seek God and His truth about who they are created to be.
Which are you?
You GET to make the decision about HOW you are going to proceed forward in your life no matter how HARD this challenge is. You get to choose if you are going to stay in the same dead end situation simply because it’s familiar. You GET to choose if you are going to over eat because you feel depressed, trust me I’ve heard the Recesses calling my name 😉 You get to choose if you are going to STOP trying and quit working your goals because they are hard and not without challenges.
What I want to challenge you to think about TODAY is what do you want your end result to be and HOW do these choices help you or hurt you? ALWAYS keep the end result in mind and NEVER make decisions like this based just on how you FEEL. Feelings are fleeting and come and go. They can also LIE to you!
The truth is if you choose to never take the steps to get OUT of that bad situation, you’ll always wonder what if and NEVER reach your full potential. If you go for short term comfort you’ll lose the long term goal and if you quit what you started how will you know what you could have learned or accomplished?
Thinking about the end goal in the midst of feeling crumby isn’t always EASY! I’ll be the first to admit that and that I have had my share of setbacks in this department. But with a little time and right thinking you can get better at not acting on emotion.
Many times we think we must be the ONLY one who has ever felt this way or the ONLY one to have faced this problem. The enemy wants you to think you’re all alone. Ever had thoughts like these… no one has ever been through EXACTLY what you’re going through, so they won’t understand, you’re really all alone, you might as well just quit? Those are lies! You are not alone and YOU can be a success and achieve your goals. So you had a few set backs…SO WHAT! Fight back! Learn from them and move on!
YOU are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Don’t quit, don’t give up! Find people who will remind you of these truths and press IN and ONWARD!
