Burnt-Out?
I’m going to make a confession…shh don’t tell anyone. I have been experience what some would call overwhelmed or burnt-out. Why? Working too much, trying to learn too much, feeling like I’m not getting where I want to go as fast as I want to go there and not taking the “ME” time necessary for my batteries to stay charged. I know better too ;-( Whoops.
Why is that we don’t give ourselves permission to take “down time” and get the rest we need? Well, I have decided that I am going to take a little time to get me back to the place where I am at my best and in order to do that I need to restructure my priorities and put myself at the top of the list. If I’m not in tip top form then I am also not shining as brightly as I could be for a my family, my team, my customers or my friends. So it’s time to take action!
Overwhelm can get the best of even the most disciplined of people. So today, if you are experiencing this you don’t need anyone’s permission to regroup and give yourself the time YOU need to be at your very BEST!
This post is going to be short and sweet because for the next two weeks I am giving extra time to spend with the Lord, so I have restructured my time. Working from home can have challenges, like no time clock to punch out on (I know, terrible problem, right?) but the blessing of being able to restructure and give what you need to all your priorities as needed is PRICELESS!
Leave a comment and share your thoughts. Let’s help each other regroup and prevent getting burnt-out!

I’m with you for that. I know that is something that I have been thinking of doing lately just to get back in touch and relax a little bit. Sometimes when you are not punching a clock it is hard to not stop working and just take some time for yourself. Let’s do this!
Daveda were you standing over my shoulder and I didn’t know it?? I just went through this and just finished adjusting my schedule, so I am not running around like a chicken with my head cut off. It’s so easy to think you’re going to miss something, but it’s so important to have down time too. Thank you – T 🙂
