Why do we feel the need to pretend that our lives are wrapped in bows and come in neat little packages? Truth be told, no ones life is perfect, espescially mine.
You may have noticed that I have a “new look” coming to this site soon. A new look and a bolder message for you. Are you ready?
YOU don’t have to pretend to be perfect!
The imaginary “perfect” families, are just that, imaginary, yet we spend a lot of time trying to be just like them. Here’s what I have learned…it’ll never happen, because it’s not real. Perfection is only found in Jesus. It is true we are hidden in Christ, but that doesn’t mean that we will never make mistakes or deal with tough situations. It simply means that when the Father looks at us He doesn’t see us in the reflection pool of our garbage, He see’s us as He see’s Jesus — Perfect in His site.
Truth be told it’s really the “dirt” in our lives that help us and others the most. It’s those dirty fences that have to washed, sanded and repainted – my illustration of redeption – that are the sturdiest and strongest of all. They understand and relate to others the most and…wait for it…judge others the least.
Don’t be ashamed of your dirt, embrace it and use it to grow closer to Christ, and to help others. Life is messy and that’s okay.
