Is God Really able to use ME?
I was sitting here this morning thinking about the everyday, mundane things that we have to do each day. What I was actually thinking about was that I had fallen behind on the laundry and then I looked around and realized that I also needed to give the house a refresher too. It’s been a weird week. I’ve been busy running the kids to various appointments, working, and fighting an icky sinus thing. Ok, a LOT of fighting the icky sinus thing.
Somehow that all got me thinking about how God uses ordinary, everyday people who have laundry to do, kids to taxi and colds to fight to do some pretty incredible things. I mean just look at the Bible and the people in it. We somehow get this notion that Paul, Mary, Ester, Peter, John, etc.. we’re super human and that’s why God was able to use them. They weren’t though. They were just like you and me yet, they made history.
What I really want to point out is that we can ALL make history in some incredible way. The definition of incredible may be different to some than it is to others but I want to challenge you to think that
Incredible is – being used by God to impact a life. It doesn’t really matter HOW or WHO. It only matter that you say yes.
Are you ready today and everyday to be used by God to make a difference? Maybe it’s a smile or a kind word. Maybe it’s impacting your kids with unconditional love in a tough situation. Maybe it’s buying the persons lunch in line behind you or maybe it’s writing a book, blog post or preaching a sermon. It doesn’t matter WHAT it is it ONLY matters that you wake up everyday ready and willing to keep your eyes open for the opportunities that God will place in front of you.
Those moments may never be written in a book that will last through out time but they will certainly make a lasting impact in the hearts of the recipients and that is eternal. Doing BIG incredible things starts with having your eyes open and looking for the moments that matter in everyday life. If you’re open to seeing them God will show you where they are.
To me That’s Incredible.
