Have You Ever Felt Like Something Was Missing?
Boy, I have…Ever since I was a little girl I felt like I was destined to do something great with my life. Yet, I still, at almost 38 years old, (someones having a birthday this month, whoohoo one more year of wisdom ;-)), feel like I have yet to achieve and accomplish whatever this “greatness” is. Can you relate to this?
Don’t get me wrong, my life is wonderful. My revelation of God’s love for me keeps growing, I have a fantastic husband, great kids, my It works Business is blessed and doing well. Yet, I still feel like I’m just getting started in my life. I still have so much to do.
I feel as if the best is yet to come.
For many years all I ever wanted to do was ministry, however I realized at one point, or I should say God showed me, that some of my motives were wrong. I thought that somehow this “role” or ‘title” that I was trying to qualify for would make me important. But, guess what?
I wanted to be…
a Pastor…Check…still didn’t feel important
a speaker at different church functions…check…still didn’t feel important
a leader in the church…check…still didn’t feel important
Over the years God has pulled out this unhealthy root in me by revealing the truth. Sometimes, what we think we want, isn’t really what we want at all.
I AM ALREADY IMPORTANT TO GOD.
No amount of “accomplishing” makes me more or less important to Him than I was on the day I was born. He sees me as hidden in Christ and there is NOTHING more important than that. Being free of this constant need to accomplish things for the wrong reasons has helped me learn to live my life knowing that I am accepted without performance.
We don’t have to perform correctly or earn God’s favor. He has given it as free gift.
FREE GIFT, gifts don’t have to be earned, they are freely given.
But society has taught us something so very different. We have been taught, sadly from many pulpits even, that we have to “qualify” ourselves for God’s love and blessing. Come on, if we could do that we would have no need for Jesus. Jesus brought us the GOOD NEWS. Key word being GOOD. Telling me I have to figure this out and get it all right to “qualify” to be good enough for God, that’s not good news to me. That’s sad, depressing news…I simply can’t do it and I know it.
You and I were born for greatness. We were born to achieve and who knows maybe we will even change the world in some great profound way. God working in you and I is all we need.
GOD WANTS YOU TO BE A SUCCESS IN LIFE
It’s not true that to honor God we have to settle for less. Actually, when we start really depending on Him to work in us, we will not have to settle at all. We will begin to see God move in our lives in every area. We will see Him in the lives of our spouses, children our businesses and our ministries. He will show up in ways that are above and beyond all that we could ever dare to dream, ask or imagine.
The last few years, I’ve been writing, slowly working on a book and building my It Works Business. Letting God pour into me the truth about who I am. Because when I know who I am, I can help others see who they are.
That’s my true hearts desire. I want to see others achieve GREATNESS through a deeper revelation of God’s love. I want God to use me to help you believe in yourself and believe that you have His favor in whatever it is that your doing in your life. I’m not talking about trying to live “for” God and going out, starting some “We Wash Cars For Jesus” thing. I’m talking about learning to trust that you live “IN” God. Learning to see who you are in Him and trusting that He is apart of all you do.
Don’t over think it…JUST LIVE AND MOVE IN HIM!

“Now to him, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]” Ephesians 3:20 AMP
